Security and your data

Short version: your file is processed, held for at most 7 days so you can download the result, then deleted automatically. I do not read it and it is not used for anything else.

What happens when you upload

  1. The file goes over an encrypted connection to a server I control. This site is served only over HTTPS — there is no unencrypted version of it.
  2. It is processed to produce your preview. That preview is generated from your actual file, which is the point of it.
  3. If you pay, the finished file is generated and made available to download.
  4. A scheduled job deletes the upload, anything extracted from it, and the finished download. This runs whether or not you paid, and whether or not you downloaded anything.

The deletion schedule

Everything is removed within 7 days. A job still actively processing gets a short grace period so it does not get deleted halfway through, and then it goes the same way. There is no archive, no backup copy kept for longer, and no “deleted but recoverable” state.

Payment

Checkout is hosted by Dodo Payments or PayPal. Your card details go to them directly and never pass through this site. I never see your card number, and there is nothing here for anyone to steal.

Accounts

There are none. No password to leak, no profile, no login. If you never pay, I never learn your email address.

What I can actually see

Being honest about the limits: files are processed on a server, which means the software has to read them to do the work. I am not going to claim end-to-end encryption or client-side-only processing for tools where that is not true. What I will say is that I do not open your files, there is no process that mines them, and they are gone inside 7 days.

A small number of tools run entirely in your browser and never upload anything at all. Where that is the case, the tool page says so explicitly.
